New South Wales Renewable Energy Zones (REZs)
FERN has advised on multiple New South Wales Renewable Energy Zones (REZs), covering bid leadership, financial advisory, and strategic and commercial advice.
On the Central West Orana REZ (CWO REZ) Ed was the Bid Director* and Financial Adviser to the ACEREZ consortium, who successfully achieved Financial Close in April 2025.
We act as strategic and commercial adviser on two further NSW REZs; both engagements are confidential and are not named here. This work covers the interfaces that define REZ delivery: the procuring authority, the incumbent transmission network, the connecting generators and the lender group.
* This role was performed for two years at Capella Capital and then continued while at FERN.
