The Peninsula University Hospital Redevelopment PPP consists of a new wing to double the floor area on this health campus, refurbishment works within existing buildings, the transfer of maintenance obligations, retail, new childcare and a community centre.
Dan led the commercial and legal workstream for the Exemplar Health consortium while working at Capella Capital, the project’s lead sponsor. He also developed the value creation solution which consists of extensive in-hospital retail, a new community centre and a childcare facility.
The contracting structure followed typical PPP arrangements with the special purpose Project Co subcontracting with Lendlease Building as D&C Contractor, Honeywell as Maintenance Contractor and Compass providing soft services. The innovative value creation solution involved a 25-year term contract with Jenny’s Early Learning Centre, and a focus on local Mornington Peninsula-based food businesses for retail operators.
