FERN is providing strategic, financial, and commercial advisory services on innovative housing models for developing, funding and financing housing. Our work includes:
Developing a limited equity model, building upon precedents from European co-operatives, to enable an intermediate form of ownership for residents who are otherwise unable to afford to purchase a home, are ineligible for subsidised housing and not well served by the private rental market;
Reviewing Uniting’s current affordable housing practices to identify efficiencies in asset design, commercial structure, and financing approaches;
Advice on turnkey and greenfield development opportunities.
